Spring/Summer 2012 News Letter

Summer kicked of on a very warm and dry note, we had a huge fire on the reserve that burnt down +- 10 000 HA, gladly no big animals were lost in the fire.

Looking forward to all our new arrivals this year as soon as the first rain falls most of the animals will give birth, and there will be an abundance of life on the reserve.

Lions are doing very well the cubs are almost all grown up, But we have great news, the southern pride female has just shown us her new cubs they are less than 2 months old, no pictures yet they are still a bit shy

The cheetah cubs are doing very well and are at that point of going away from their mom, they are perfecting the art of hunting

Leopard sighting was great as well here is a sneak peak at some of them.

The buffalo are doing great in the northern camp, they are adapting very well to their new environment.

We had a very rare sighting of a water monitor catching a fish we flowed it for about 10min and suddenly just grabbed it out of the water.
